1. I have used many tools through out this course each for different things. I used clay tools and the roller for clay, scissors and tape for my paper project, etc. tools such as the clay tools help sculpt my clay better as well as add extra and better quality detail.
2. In the beginning of this class I had no knowledge of the kiln or glazes. since the beginning starting with my mug and ending with my tray sets, my knowledge of the different color usage and layering has increased. 3.Though i was not successful in the mosaic project i feel i learned the most here. i learned a lot when cutting out the wood. this is when i would use the wood cutter and became very skilled at it. at first it wasn't that good and very difficult eventually i got to the point where i was teaching other students how to use it. 4. One technique I used was in my graffito project when I made a wood work design on my clay boat. I thought it was very successful because it really gave of a wood like vibe when it was really made of clay. 5.I didn't like the mosaic project though I feel that I worked and learned the most from this one. I say this because I learned how to not only use the wood saw but i learned how much clay actually shrinks when fired and how to make use of a difficult situation. for example I made use of the glass being covered by the grout by slowly whipping and chipping away at it. Thought it didn't make it completely better i made it less than worst and thats all that matters.
